NEW YORK-mutation genes BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 may increase the risk of breast cancer. Gen this mutation can occur not only on women, men also have the same risk.
Although only 1 percent risk, men can also have breast cancer. Previous research indicates that men who carry BRCA 2 mutation genes will be more at risk to breast cancer.
Now, the latest research found that genes BRCA 1 mutation also causes the same risk. Chen’s researchers from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, 1939 Dr Sining researching the family, including 97 men with breast cancer.
“The entire age group, the average male will have the same risk of breast cancer carrying the mutation career BRCA genes 1 and BRCA 2 than those who do not,” say researchers in The Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Relations between the two occurred in males aged between 30-40s and will be on the wane over the increasing age. For example, the male mutation of BRCA 2 genes was 30 times 22 would be a risk breast cancer risk compared to the age of 70 years.
high risk for carrying genes BRCA 2 mutation compared BRCA 1. Researchers also analyzed, in men aged 70 years will experience breast cancer up to 1.2 percent and 6.8 percent of men of career genes BRCA 2 mutation.
